Swedish, Sports and Deep Tissue Massages are available to address your specific condition using classical massage techniques.  Your therapist may also use other massage techniques such as trigger point therapy, lomi lomi, neuromuscular applications or various forms of energy work in combination with these classical massages to enhance the outcome of your session.

Ear Candeling - 45 mins

Please book one day in advance.  Pure beeswax candles are used for this safe and effective age-old therapy for removing wax build-up in the ears.

AYURVEDIC

Ayurvedic Massages:

Many of the Ayurvedic massages are performed by two therapists, like a dance, moving in synchrony with one another and the energy flow of the receiver. The two therapist massages and treatments are like no other massage/therapy treatment you have ever experienced. For your benefit, these treatments are performed mostly in silence. Relax, let go and feel the oneness of mind-body and spirit.

Abhyanga -  single therapist (70 min),  two therapists (45 min)
The abhyanga is a traditional rhythmic friction massage from India performed by one or two therapists utilizing warm herbal oils tailored to your specific needs and body type - determined by a brief interview prior to your treatment.

Vishesh -  single therapist (70 min)  two therapists (45 min)
The vishesh is a deeper and more invigorating massage than the Abhyanga (above), performed by one or two therapists utilizing herbal and essential oils.

Indian Head Massage - (45 minutes)
This massage is invigorating, relaxing and highly therapeutic.  Fragrant Ayurvedic oils will be used on the hair and scalp to stimulate scalp circulation, hair growth and renew the luster and shine to your hair. Included is a wonderful face, neck and chest massage using delicate oils for re-hydration and a youthful glow.  It will be followed by a steam treatment and herbal oils applied into the nose and ears (optional).

Blue Pearl^TM - (90 min)
The entire universe of vibrating sound is evolved from the Blue Pearl.  Sri Gurumayi says of the Blue Pearl, “The vision of the Blue Pearl is very intoxicating.  In fact, it has the ability to remove the deepest sorrows in your heart.  When suffering leaves you, you are able to hear the sound of Om and you become new.”  The Blue Pearl massage was created to include several aspects of the mind-body and spirit – neuromuscular massage combined with yoga stretches, an herbal oil massage, and finally chakra visualization with singing bowls, semi-precious gemstones and essential oils.

Ayurvedic Treatments

These treatments can be combined with any other Ayurvedic treatment on the menu.

Ayurvedic Herbal Wrap - (45 min)
Following a relaxing heated oil massage, Ayurvedic herbs are rubbed into the skin.  Warm towels that have been soaked in an herbal tea are placed over the body. While wrapped in a warm cocoon of detoxifying herbs, your therapist will be in attendance throughout this treatment to place cool cucumber soaked cloths on your forehead and make any necessary adjustments to ensure your complete relaxation.

Foot and Hand Massage - (45 min)
Based on the principals of reflexology your feet and hands will be soaked in fragrant flower water then massaged with essential oils.  Your hands and feet will be placed into aromatic gloves and slippers allowing your mind to drift into that sweet comforting place called “bliss”.

Garshana - (45min) or (15 min add-on to any massage)
Raw silk gloves are used to create a vigorous friction massage over the entire body to exfoliate and polish the skin.  This treatment is followed by a soothing massage utilizing warm herbal oils. 

Marma Points - (45 min) 
Marma points, similar to acupressure points in Chinese Medicine, are vital energy points in the body that when stimulated can increase physical and mental energy for a wide range of mind-body healing and expansion of consciousness.  Aromatherapy oils and mantras are used to enhance the benefits of marma manipulation. 

Shankara Therapy - (70 min)
Shankara Therapy is adapted from the traditional Pinda Swedna.  The oils and herbs in this treatment are used specifically for joint discomfort.  They have many therapeutic side benefits such as rejuvenation and detoxification.

Shirodhara - (45 mins) A steady stream of warm oil is dripped like a glistening thread from a copper bowl over the area on the forehead between the eyebrows known as the Manipuri charka or third eye.  This is a profoundly relaxing treatment.

Swedana - (45 min)
Following a brief warm oil massage, an Ayurvedic herbal steam will permeate into a lightweight steam-tent placed over the body.  This will allow the oil and herbs to penetrate deeply into the skin melting away the toxins and tension. Your therapist will remain with you throughout to ensure that the temperature remains constantly comfortable. Cool cucumber soaked cloths will be applied to your forehead.
This treatment may be preceded by any of the Ayurvedic massages on the menu.

Udvartana - (45 min)
The udvartna is a two therapist massage utilizing light friction with a specially blended paste to stimulate circulation and exfoliate your skin – it will make your skin glow and feel smooth as silk. 

Upper Lymphatic Drainage Massage - (45 min)
This gentle massage with warm antioxidant oils to the face, neck, shoulders, chest and scalp followed by a facial steam treatment with aromatherapy oils will relieve sinus pressure, clear the mind and remove any phlegm from the chest and lungs.  We recommend this massage for pre or post air travel or the final stages of healing from congestion associated with colds or sinus allergies.

Panchakarma is an ancient traditional detoxification process from India.  The purpose of Panchakarma is to rid the body of accumulated toxins (ama) in order to prepare it for rejuvenation and healing (which can only occur once the toxins are removed). Panchakarma includes a series of massages and treatments utilizing pure sesame or coconut oils and herbs depending upon your constitution and symptoms along with a basti (oil and herbs enema) daily, dietary recommendations, yoga (may also be Tai Chi or Qi Gong instruction) and meditation daily. It is a time to dedicate oneself to quiet relaxation and meditation so the body is able to do its work during the cleansing period. 

The pure oils and herbs used by Sanjevani’s therapists will penetrate to the cellular level, cleansing and nourishing the entire being.  Daily massages and treatments will include many of those listed above on the Ayurvedic menu.  Along with the cleansing is daily education about lifestyle changes to assist in the rejuvenation of mind, body and spirit and allow one to embark upon this life journey with a new awareness of the physical, mental and emotional being and its relationship to its environment and those beings who also inhabit it.

Panchakarma includes an Integrative Medicine consultation with a Board Certified Family Practice MD whose emphasis is in Ayurveda and Panchakarma.  A plan of treatment, specifically tailored to your constitution, will be formulated.  Panchakarma may be done in a preliminary 3 day period, 5 days, 7 days or up to 21 days depending upon one’s condition and availability.  It is recommended that one undergoes Panchakarma treatments for at least 5 days at the change of the seasons to assist in the elimination of accumulated toxins.  Sanjevani will supply herbs for preparation one week in advance and give you specific dietary and lifestyle instructions to allow the body to rejuvenate itself over the following days and months after your Panchakarma treatments.  The cost of Panchakarma is available upon application and will vary according the needs of each individual. 

JAPANESE

Japanese:

Reiki (ray-key) - (45 min)
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy.  Reiki is an energy science, whose dynamics are in line with the basic principles of quantum physics.  There is a miraculous medicine naturally produced within each living being consisting of certain synergistic components – the life force, the blood, lymph, immune cells, hormones, cerebral spinal fluid, enzymes and neurotransmitters; and the harmonious function of the spiritual body.  This medicine is activated through the self-healing impulse.  During the self-healing impulse our own inner pharmacy releases vital chemical and neural reactions sending signals throughout the physiology to begin repair. 

The effects of applying this energy are palpable, yet subjective.  Every person who receives this treatment will have a different experience.  Stay open.  Try not to judge, just feel the comforting warmth that envelopes your entire being during this session.

CHINESE

Chinese:

Tuina - (45 min)
Tuina is an Oriental Bodywork Therapy that has been used in China for 2,000 years. Tuina uses the traditional Chinese medical theory of the flow of Qi through the meridians as its basic therapeutic orientation. Through the application of massage and manipulation techniques Tuina seeks to establish a more harmonious flow of Qi through the system of channels, allowing the body to naturally heal itself.
Tuina methods include the use of hand techniques to massage the soft tissue (muscles and tendons) of the body and acupressure techniques to directly affect the flow of Qi ,
In a typical session, the client, wearing loose clothing and no shoes, lies on a table or floor mat. The practitioner examines the specific problems of the client and begins to apply a specific treatment protocol. The major focus of application is upon specific pain sites, acupressure points, energy meridians, and muscles and joints

INDONESIAN

Indonesian:

Balinese Massage - (45 min) or (70 min)
Using medium pressure with naturally scented coconut oil, long sensual strokes are used to relieve muscle tension and nourish the skin.  Traditional techniques are used to restore circulation and vitality to the central nervous system.  Pressure points on the hands and feet are also incorporated into the massage. 

Batu Jamu - (90 min)
Hot/cold stone massage combined with fragrant all-natural Balinese oils, lotions and gentle exfoliating scrubs.

Boreh  (Not recommended for pregnant women) - (45min)
An herbal paste of essential oils, herbs and spices are massaged onto the skin and left to dry.  The heat penetrates the pores relieving head and muscle aches, arthritis and chills.  It is then vigorously rubbed off followed by a soothing coconut oil massage. 

Cucumber Wrap - for sunburn or overheating - (45 min)
A blended mixture of cucumber lotion with aloe gel and essential oils gently poured onto the affected areas and wrapped.  Cool cloths soaked in cucumber water will be applied to the eyes to further draw out the heat from your body.

SOUND HEALING

Sound Healing:

The Sound of Ohm - (70 min) Using tuning forks tuned to the sound of ohm and applying them to acupuncture points, you will be transported on a journey of self discovery and renewal accessing clarity of vision to follow your true path.  By letting go of a direction that is no longer of service to you, you will be able to open to manifesting your true potential, seeing the world with child-like innocence again and remembering the essence of who you truly are in order to be able to find balance and harmony in your life.

FACIALS

Epicuren Facials:

Epicuren Green Tea and Ginger Facial - (45 min or 75 min)
The benefits of seaweed extract, ginger, soothing green tea, and Aloe vera are utilized in this facial to calm the skin and neutralize free radical damage caused by pollution, irritants in cosmetics, sun exposure and other external stressors.  The cleansing and exfoliating process is customized towards you particular skin type followed by a deeply relaxing facial massage (75 min. only).  A highly nourishing and purifying mask containing minerals, antioxidants and herbal extracts is applied and while it remains on the skin you will receive a hydrating hand and arm massage.  Specialty serums supplement this facial further nourishing the skin and the appropriate moisturizer for your skin type is applied.

Epicuren Healing Propolis Facial - (45min or 75 min)
This facial is an ideal treatment for the problematic or irritated skin.  Pure Propolis from the Brazilian Rainforest contains the highest concentration of antioxidants, natural bioflavonoids, amino acids, vitamins and trace minerals to help support proper cell function.  It stimulates healing and has anti-bacterial and antifungal properties.  The cleansing and exfoliating process is customized towards your particular skin type followed by a deeply relaxing facial massage (75 min. only).  A layering of the Propolis Concentrate, the Propolis Serum Moisturizer and a hydrating mineral mask is applied.  A hydrating hand and arm massage is received.  Specialty serums supplement this facial futher nourishing the skin and the appropriate moisturizer is applied.

Specialty Facials

Classic Lifting and Toning Facial - (75 min. or 105 min)

Often described as a non surgical face life, this treatment will put the skin through a mini workout creating a toned an lifted effect.  Other benefits include removal of impurities, increased blood circulation and cell metabolism, and dramatic dermal rejuvenation.  The cleansing and exfoliating process is customized towards your particular skin type followed by a deeply relaxing facial massage (105 min. only).  Next a layer of the Hot Peel 5% is applied working only on the dermal suface to dissolve dead skin cells and stimulate the lymphatic system.  Following, a layer of Mask I is applied and a hand and arm massage is received.  Mask II completes the layering process (105 min. only).  Mask I and Mask II utilize a proprietary blend of Metadermabolic Enzmes and finely ground, dehydrated roots and herbs to create the lifting and toning effects of this facial.  Mask I forms an occlusive layer over the dermis to stimulate the skin's own enzyme activity and inrease capillary action.  Mask II causes increased lift, improved color and texture balance and a dramatic overall glow.  Specialty serums supplement this facial futher nourishing the skin and the appropriate moisturizer for your skin type is applied.
